Lectures, laboratories, readings, or projects relating to contemporary areas of study. Credits negotiable. Enrollment may be more than once, maximum of twelve hours in NFS 195 and NFS 295 combined. Prerequisite: Department permission.

Section Description

After successfully completing this course, students will have a good understanding of the chemistry and biochemistry of the various macro and micronutrients, and their roles and functions in the prevention of disease and the maintenance of optimal health. In addition, students will have a broad understanding of selected research tools used in basic and applied nutritional sciences research.

Section Expectation

This summer class is open only to NFS students who are absolutely unable to take the regular spring section of the class. Instructor permission is required to register for this class.
