About ARTS 095 Z1

This class is a hands-on jewelry course where we will learn the basics of jewelry fabrication, such as soldering, stone setting, surface enrichments, casting and fusing techniques. Students will complete three pieces of their own design using these techniques, while studying the history of jewelry, contemporary issues in the field and the place jewelry holds in our culture. This is a studio class with outside time required to complete the assignments. There will be readings, research and drawing required.
