Frequently Asked Questions ... from Continuing Education Students

Below are the top questions we hear most often from Continuing Education students. For more answers to frequently asked questions, please view our FAQ page.

  1. How much does it cost to attend UVM?

Costs for the current academic year as well as estimated costs for the 2014-2015 academic year are posted in our Tuition and Fees section. Finalized tuition and fees for the 2014-2015 academic year will be available in May.

  2. I have received my bill but a third party, such as my employer, wants to pay it. What do I need to do?

For third party payments, students are asked to have their employer forward a Purchase Order to our office if they plan to pay for the tuition and/or fees regardless of the final grade. The PO should include the student’s name, ID#, term, the course being taken and the amount the employer will be paying on the student’s behalf. If the employer needs to see a copy of the student’s bill, the student can print one off of their account. UVM will not send copies of billing statements directly to employers. We will only bill an employer directly after receiving a Purchase Order. A student can also set up their third party payer as a Proxy, giving online access to view and pay bills. No matter who is paying the bill, it is always the student's responsibility that the bill is paid on-time.

  3. What kind of financial aid do I qualify for as a Continuing Education student?
