VESTAL, N.Y. – The Binghamton Bearcats scored three unanswered goals in the second half to erase a 1-0 deficit and earn a 3-1 victory over visiting Vermont in America East women's soccer action on Thursday evening.

The Catamounts held Binghamton scoreless in the first half, despite a 14-1 shot advantage for the Bearcats.

Just over three minutes into the start of the second half, junior Emily Milbank (Shelburne, Vt.) scored her first career goal to give UVM a 1-0 lead. Milbank collected a pass from freshman Jess Herbst (Webster, N.Y.) and fired a shot from 28 yards out the sailed into the top left corner of the net.

Brittany Walsh converted a penalty kick in the 58th minute to even the score at 1-1 and later took the lead on an unassisted goal by Jamie Holliday in the 68th minute. Holliday, the team's leading scorer entering the game, netted her fourth goal of the year after dribbling through the Vermont defense and sent a hard shot into the top netting from 12 yards out.

Meghan Campbell pushed Binghamton's lead to two, 3-1, in the 76th minute. She finished a volley from inside the penalty area to record her first goal of the season. Teammate Candice Rowland picked up an assist on the play.

Eliza Bradley (Charlotte, Vt.) made seven saves for Vermont, while Jen MaEachron and Erin Iman combined to make three stops for Binghamton.

Binghamton improves to 8-6-1 overall and 5-2 in America East. Vermont falls to 1-12-3 on the year and 1-4-2 in league play.

Vermont closes out the regular season with a trip to Hartford on Sunday (Oct. 25) for a 1 p.m. game.
