BURLINGTON, Vt. – Markia Posehn handed out two assists to lead the New Hampshire Wildcats to a 3-0 victory over Vermont in America East women's soccer action at Centennial Field.

UNH opened up the scoring in the 14th minute when South Burlington, Vt. native Morgan Keefe was able to knock in a corner kick from Posehn. The Wildcats would take the 1-0 lead into halftime.

Shaunna Kaplan pushed UNH's lead to 2-0, when she received a long service from the midfield and chipped a shot over Vermont goalkeeper Eliza Bradley (Charlotte, Vt.) in the 59th minute.

Jordyn Krall closed out the scoring for the Wildcats in the 72nd minute. Posehn picked up her second assist of the match, serving a ball into Krall who won a one-on-one battle with Bradley at the top of the penalty area.

UNH finished the game with 18 shots to UVM's 10. Bradley and freshman Alyssa Kelly (Southampton, N.J.) combined for six stops in the contest. Ally Yost made eight saves for New Hampshire to pick up the shutout.

UNH improves to 3-11-1 overall and 2-3-0 in America East. The Catamounts fall to 1-10-3 on the year and 1-3-2 in league play.

UVM will close out the regular season with three road games next week. Vermont will play at Dartmouth on Tuesday (Oct. 20) in a 6 p.m. non-conference match.

The Catamounts are still in the hunt for an America East playoff berth and will travel to Binghamton on Thursday (Oct. 22) and wrap up the regular season Sunday (Oct. 25) at Hartford.

GAME NOTES: Posehn was named the America East Player of the Game for New Hampshire, while freshman Jess Herbst (Webster, N.Y.) picked up the honor for the Catamounts.
