BURLINGTON, Vt. - Junior Peggy Wakeham (Bay Roberts, Newfoundland) has been selected to play in the second-annual Hockey East All-Star Game.

Twenty-four players from all eight Hockey East teams will make up the team that will take on the 2010 U.S. Women’s National Team on Sunday, November 22 at UNH’s Whittemore Center, as part of Team USA’s 2009 Qwest Tour.

Wakeham currently has four assists on the 2009-10 season and has scored eight career goals while registering 25 assists.

“I am very pleased and proud of Peggy,” UVM head coach Tim Bothwell said. “This is a terrific opportunity and one she’ll benefit from immensely as a player and a person.”

Senior goalie Kristen Olychuck (Kelowna, British Columbia) was selected as the first-alternate goalie for the game as well.
