VERMONT WOMEN'S HOCKEY WEEKLY NOTEBOOK
The University of Vermont women’s hockey team hosts Princeton University this weekend for a two-game series. The Catamounts will take on the Tigers on Friday at 7 p.m., while the game on Saturday is slated for 4 p.m.

The Catamounts will look to build on last weekend’s success, which saw them upset No. 4 Clarkson on Saturday by a score of 4-1.

Live video of the game against Princeton will be streamed over the Internet on a pay-per-view basis ($7 US) via B2 Networks.

ABOUT PRINCETON
The Tigers have yet to play a game in the 2009-10 season, but are coming off their eighth consecutive season with at least 14 wins. They finished the 2008-09 season with 18 wins and finished third in the ECAC.

Senior Stephanie Denino returns as the team’s captain and is one of the four returning defensemen. Denino scored a career high 12 points last year as a junior, with two goals and 10 assists to her name.

Princeton also returns its leading scorer from last year, senior forward Melanie Wallace. Wallace scored 22 points on six goals and 16 assists last season. She is also Princeton’s leading active scorer with 17 goals and 47 points.

SERIES HISTORY
Since the two teams first met in the 2001-02 season the Tigers have had the Catamounts’ number. UVM has yet to defeat Princeton with a record of 0-9-0 all-time. Princeton has outscored Vermont 37-5 in those nine games. The two schools last met in the 2005-06 season when Princeton defeated Vermont 2-1 in overtime.

Olychuck made 26 saves during Vermont’s 4-1 win over No. 4 Clarkson on Saturday. Olychuck has a save percentage of .935 this season as well as a goals against average of 1.25 with a record of 3-1-0.
