2009-10 Women's Basketball Promotions

BURLINGTON, Vt. - The University of Vermont athletic department announced its 2009-10 women’s basketball promotions schedule today.

Coming off a season where the Catamounts won the America East Championship and made the NCAA Tournament, the 2009-10 campaign will feature many exciting game day promotions, giveaways, and other events.

The season gets underway on Saturday, October 31 when Vermont hosts Laval at 1 p.m. in an exhibition game Fans can sign up at the promotions table to win season tickets for the 2009-10 women’s basketball season.

On November 7 the Catamounts square off against Franklin Pierce at 4:30 p.m. in the final preseason contest. University Dining/Sodexho will be offering $1.00 hot dogs. The game is part of a basketball doubleheader, as the men’s basketball team hosts Saint Michael’s at 1:00 p.m.

Other game promotions this season include:
Nov. 25 – 2009 America East Champions Banner Ceremony and bring an unwrapped toy to donate to COTS for a chance to win a prize
Dec. 5 – Green Mountain Coffee Product Giveaway; donate an unwrapped toy to COTS and get a chance to win a prize; postgame Catamount Kid's Conference Presented by the Doubletree
Dec. 13 – UPS Team Poster Day with postgame autograph session; NCAA Take a Kid to the Game Day; donate an unwrapped toy to COTS and get a chance to win a prize
Jan. 10 – Youth Basketball Day, email Rallycatamount@uvm.edu to receive free admission
Jan. 24 – UPS Store Trading Card Day with postgame autograph session
Jan. 31 – NCAA Pack the House Challenge
Feb. 10 – Pink Zone
Feb. 21- Senior Day Celebration

Catamount basketball fans can also look forward to a variety of in-game promotions at every Vermont home game. They include: the Heritage Ford and Toyota T-shirt toss, Leonardo’s pizza giveaway, Madhouse Munchies Madness, TD Bank Trivia, Doubletree cookie giveaway, as well as the TD Bank Dress, Dribble and Shoot at halftime. Home games will also feature performances by the University of Vermont cheerleaders and dance team.
