2009 Catamount Golf Classic Photos

BURLINGTON, Vt. - The University of Vermont athletic department hosted a successful 2009 Catamount Golf Classic on July 20 at Vermont National Country Club in South Burlington, Vt.

Approximately 100 golfers made their way through 18-holes on the Jack Nicklaus designed course and generated over $10,000 to the Victory Club Scholarship Fund to support UVM student-athletes.

Participants enjoyed a round of golf, a barbecue, and competed for raffle prizes and for items in a silent auction. Raffle prizes included gift certificates to the Windjammer, Play It Again Sports and Juniors' Restaurant.

Also up for raffle were signed sticks by former Catamounts Torrey Mitchell and Viktor Stalberg, as well as a night's stay at the Westin Copley in Boston, Mass. and a gift basket from the UVM Bookstore.

Former Catamount and current Futures Tour member Libby Smith '02, who recently competed at the U.S. Women's Golf Open, was on hand to hit some shots for golfers on the 13th hole.

The UVM athletic department sends a sincere thank you to everyone who participated and volunteered for the event.
