BURLINGTON, Vt. -- Three upcoming University of Vermont men's basketball and men's hockey postseason games will be televised. The three-time defending America East Men's Basketball Champion Catamounts are at Albany on Saturday for the 2006 America East Championship Game. In its first appearance in the Hockey East Tournament, UVM opens a best of three quarterfinal series at Boston College on Thursday.
AMERICA EAST MEN'S BASKETBALL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME
The America East title game between sixth-seeded Vermont and top-seeded
Albany on Saturday will be aired nationally on ESPN2. Broadcast time is
noon from the Recreation and Convocation Center in Albany with Bob
Wischusen and Donny Marshall calling the action.
It is UVM's fourth straight trip to the conference title game and it will be the 13th national television appearance for a Vermont men's basketball team. The Catamounts, the lowest seed ever to advance to the final, will be bidding to become the second America East school to win four straight conference titles.
HOCKEY EAST QUARTERFINALS
The Vermont men's hockey team can be seen on CN8 in Boston against No. 9
Boston College this Thursday at 7:00pm. As of Tuesday afternoon, Adelphia
Cable is working with CN8 to get a release and permission to air Thursday's
game in Vermont. More information will be available on Wednesday afternoon.

Vermont's game against Boston College on Friday, March 10 at 7:00pm can be seen on NESN (Adelphia Channel 39) at 7:00pm. The game marks the third time the Catamounts have been on NESN this year and the 12th time this season the Vermont men's hockey team has been on television.
There are several "Watch Here" locations set up in the area to see all of Vermont's televised games this weekend including: Nectar's, The Upper Deck Pub, Manhattan Pizza, Sweetwater's, RiRa's, Three Needs, Church St. Tavern, RJ's and The Lincoln Inn.
