BURLINGTON, Vt. –- The University of Vermont’s thrilling overtime win over Syracuse in the first round of the NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship is one of nine games to be shown this Saturday, April 9th on ESPN Classic.
At 9:00am (eastern) the Catamounts 60-57 victory over the Big East Champion Orange will lead off ESPN Classic’s ‘2005 NCAA Tournament Instant Classics’, celebrating the recently completed men’s and women’s tournament.
“These were timeless games that highlighted the drama, intensity and emotion that sports hold - and that makes them perfect ‘Instant Classics’,” said Jodi Markley, senior vice president, international production, ESPN Classic and ESPNEWS.
The 17-hour block includes the NCAA men’s title game and highlights the best games from an NCAA Tournament season that many consider to be one of the greatest of all time.
