Soyuz: The Research Network for Postsocialist Cultural Studies

The Soyuz Listserv moved to H-Net in 2006! We are now also H-Soyuz

Soyuz is formally constituted as the Post-Communist Cultural Studies Interest Group of the American Anthropological Association (AAA) and is also recognized as an official unit of the American Association for the Advancement of Slavic Studies (AAASS). It is also more broadly conceived, first as a newsletter and now a website, as an international congeries of anthropologists and other scholars working in postsocialist studies. We gather at AAA and AAASS meetings in North America, various conferences in Europe, and here on the web to distribute information on our projects. Current officers of Soyuz
