                              Spaghetti Pie

   6      ounces        spaghetti
   2      tablespoons   butter or margarine
   2                    eggs -- well beaten
     1/3  cup           grated Parmesan cheese
   1      pound         ground beef OR bulk pork sausage
     1/2  cup           chopped onion
     1/4  cup           chopped green bell pepper
   7 1/2  ounces        can tomatoes -- cut up
   6      ounces        can tomato paste
   1      teaspoon      sugar
   1      teaspoon      dried oregano -- crushed
     1/4  teaspoon      garlic salt
   8      ounces        cream-style cottage cheese -- drained
     1/2  cup           shredded mozzarella cheese

Cook spaghetti; drain. Stir butter into hot spaghetti. Stir in eggs and Parmesan
cheese. Press spaghetti mixture into a buttered 10" pie plate, forming a crust. 
In a large skillet cook beef or sausage, onion and green pepper until vegetables
are tender and meat is brown. Drain off all fat. Stir in undrained tomatoes, 
tomato paste, sugar, oregano and garlic salt. Heat through. Spread cottage 
cheese over bottom of spaghetti crust. Top with meat mixture. Bake, uncovered, 
at 350 degrees for 20 min. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese. bake 5 min. longer.
