Liveless Liver Pate Makes 1 1/2 Cups 1 large carrot, diced 1 cup cooked black beans, or one can (14 oz) rinsed and drained 2 Tbsp water 1 Tbsp canola oil 1 cup finely chopped onions 1/4 tsp salt 1) Steam or boil carrots until soft. Set aside. 2) In a food processor, puree beans and water to form a paste. Add carrots; process until well blended. 3) In a nonstick skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Add onions and cook until soft and browned. Stir in salt and bean mixture; cook 3 minutes or until heated through. Cool, then refrigerate until ready to serve.
