Apple Crisp 

Looking for an apple crisp recipe, could you please share with me?


Apple Crisp (1)

8  tart apples (about 2 lb)
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
 pinch salt
1 cup lightly packed brown sugar
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
1/3 cup butter

Peel, core and thinly slice apples. Place in buttered 8-inch square baking dish.
Stir in water, granulated sugar, 1/2 teaspoon of the cinnamon, vanilla and salt.
In small bowl, stir together brown sugar, flour, remaining cinnamon and nutmeg. 
With pastry blender or 2 knives, cut in butter until mixture is crumbly. 
Sprinkle over apple mixture and bake, uncovered, in 3750F oven for 30 minutes or
until apples are very tender. Serve warm or cold with cheese, whipped cream or 
vanilla ice cream.

4  apples (Spy or Golden Delicious)
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon grated orange rind
1/2 cup granulated or packed brown sugar
1/3 cup unsalted butter

Peel and core apples, slice. Arrange in 9-inch square baking dish. In bowl, 
combine flour, cinnamon, grated rind and sugar. With pastry blender or 2 knives,
cut in butter until mixture is crumbly. Sprinkle evenly over apples.  Bake in 
3750F oven for 45 to 60 minutes or until apples are tender when pierced with 
fork.
