Students of Concern Resources

The Dean of Students office is committed to promoting health and safety for UVM students. Faculty, TAs, and staff are often the first to encounter a student who is in distress. Encouraging and helping the student to seek assistance with the appropriate campus and community resources is important.

If there is a potential for danger to self or others, Campus Police (802-656-3473 if on campus, or 911) should be called immediately.

The following pages provide information that may help in recognizing and responding to common problems that affect students in distress and making appropriate referrals.
