Faculty - John Waldron
John graduated from UC Irvine with a Ph.D. in Spanish Language and Literatures with a sub-specialty in U.S. Latino Studies. He works on Latin American culture with an emphasis on the Caribbean, Mexico and their respective Diasporas in the United States. He has edited a volume on Globalization in Mexico and another one on post-nationalism in Mexican cinema. Currently, John is working on a book that studies the intersection of globalization, psychoanalysis and the neo-baroque in Latin America particularly with regard to Mexico, Puerto Rico and Cuba.
