Metal
Metal items such as broken
equipment, shelving, motors, wire and pipe must be kept separate from
the regular trash.
Scrap metal can be dropped of at the
Centennial
Field recycling area in the designated "Metal" box.
If your department has large amounts of scrap metal to be picked up,
please submit a Physical
Plant Service Request.
Scrap metal is
delivered to a scrap yard in northern Vermont where it is separated
into various ferrous and non-ferrous metals for recycling.
DO RECYCLE:
- Clean ferrous and non-ferrous metals
- Steel pipe, aluminum, copper, wire, etc
- Empty drums
- Metal shelving, rods, rebar, etc.
DO NOT RECYCLE
