"One Less Bottle" Campaign


UVM Recycling has distributed over 3,000 decals on campus for students and staff to "decorate" their own refillable water bottles. If you'd like a decal, write to: <recycle@uvm.edu> with your on-campus mailing address and we will send you one....or visit the Davis Center 3rd Floor Information Desk to get one.

In 2008, all the drinking fountains in the Davis Center were retrofit with spouts to enable easier refilling of water bottles. This idea was suggested by Paul in the building maintenance services operation. Great idea Paul!

In Spring 2007, students in Jane Petrillo’s CDAE 231: Applied Computer Graphics class were asked to make posters to help raise awareness about the environmental impact of plastic water bottles, and to encourage the use of refillable water bottles. Here are some of the final designs (in .PDF format) we selected to post in the residence halls:
