Jordan Olson joined the University of Vermont Campus Recreation staff in June 2015 as the Assistant Director of Intramural Sports.  He currently serves on a few committees within the department and is an active member of the National Intramural Recreational Sports Association (NIRSA).

Olson got his start in campus recreation in 2006 while attending the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee working as an Intramural Official.  While earning his BFA in Graphic Design and Photography he became very involved with Campus Recreation and held positions such as Intramural Supervisor, Special Events Worker & Graphic Designer.
Jordan then attended the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse and earned his Masters of Science in Recreation Management.  During his two years as a Graduate Assistant at UW-La Crosse he primarily worked with the intramural sports program, but was also involved with committees such as the Student Advisory Council, the Emergency Response Team, and helped bring the WIRSA State Basketball Tournament to UW-La Crosse in 2013.  Jordan also served as the 2013 WIRSA State Student Representative.

Olson’s first professional job was at the University of Wisconsin-Stout where he served as the Intramural Sports Coordinator.  During his time at UW-Stout he was a member of the BOLD Project which is a campus wide committee designed to provide leadership and development opportunities for all students.  Jordan also served as the Tournament Director for the 2015 WIRSA State Basketball Tournament when it visited UW-Stout.

A native of La Crosse, WI, Jordan enjoys being outdoors, hiking, skiing, golfing, officiating, attending live music and sporting events, and is an avid Wisconsin sports fan.
