CPR & First Aid Classes | Aquatics Courses

Obtain your CPR and first aid, water safety instructor or lifeguarding at UVM! All courses are located on the UVM Athletic Campus and taught by a qualified American Heart Association (CPR, First Aid) and American Red Cross (WSI and Lifeguarding) instructors!


CPR & First Aid Courses

American Red Cross - Adult & Pediatric CPR, AED, and First Aid Certification

Individuals who are required to obtain certification as a requirement of their employment should confirm with their supervisor that this course meets the requirement prior to registering for this class.

This course is a blended learning course, which requires the registrant to complete approximately four (4) hours of online work in advance of the skills class session. The instructor will provide registrants with online access information approximately one (1) week in advance of the skills session.

American Red Cross - Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers

This course is for individuals in the health care profession who are required to obtain certification for their job (e.g., LNAs, UVM Rescue, etc).

This course is a blended learning course, which requires the registrant to complete approximately two (2) hours of online work in advance of the skills class session. The instructor will provide registrants with online access information approximately one (1) week in advance of the skills session.

Aquatics Courses

Lifeguarding Re-Certification Course (American Red Cross)

A multi-day lifeguard recertification course is offered each year during the spring semester.

*This is a blended learning class. Participants will be required to complete approximately 7.5 hours of online work in advance of the course meeting dates.

PEAC Certification Courses

The following class is offered as PEAC 1-credit academic classes during the spring semester to UVM students only.
