Programs

Group fitness aerobic class. Broomball is the largest recrational sport. Racquet and squash courts are in the Patrick Gym.

Get involved in a Campus Recreation program today! We have something for everyone. If there is something we don't offer, that you think we should offer, then ask us to add it to our program offerings.

The programs include:

Intramural Sports: UVM students, faculty, and staff compete against each other in men's, women's and co-rec leagues. There are more than 22 intramural sports, including team, dual, and individual competitions.

Informal Recreation: Informal Recreation is the name given to open facility hours when no official programming is in progress yet the facility is open for "pick-up" games or individual participation. Most facilities in the PFG Building are multi-use and may be used by UVM Cat Card holders on a first come, first served basis.

Drop-In Group Exercise:

Fitness and Instructional Recreation : Our fitness offerings are designed to accommodate a variety of interests and abilities. Our current programs include personal training services, individual consultations/program design, drop-in group fitness classes, instructional fitness courses, fitness and aging, Masters swim program, other conditioning programs, and educational seminars. Recreational classes range from Swing and Belly Dance to American Red Cross Certification Courses to Nutrition and Aromatherapy workshops! Most programs are open to community members and recreation members as well as University members.

Youth and Family: Opportunities for children and adults to learn or refine swimming skills are available! Birthday Parties are also a popular, fun, and inexpensive way to treat your special birthday person on their special day! Other programs are offered seasonally and upon demand. Check out the program offerings to find out more!

Adventure Day Camp: Adventure Day Camp (ADC) is a recreational day camp for children ages 5 to 13! The camp offers a variety of activities for community youth to participate in and continues to change and modify programs based on community input. The 2008 summer schedule is now posted, and registration begins February 1, 2008! Participants can register online or via snail mail. If you have questions regarding registration, including gaining access to your household ID numbers and passwords, please contact the summer camp office.
