Thinking, Mood, and Taste Perceptions of Food
Do You Binge Eat?
If you are a woman 18 and older who is experiencing frequent episodes of binge eating you may be eligible for a research study examining thinking, mood and taste perceptions of food.
2 visits to the Psychology Department at the University of Vermont:
Visit 1: a participant will first complete an in-person interview to determine her eligibility for the study (30 min-1.5 hours); if eligible she will be asked to complete a number of questionnaires (60 minutes).
Visit 2: lasts 1 hour. The participant will be asked to participate in a taste task during which she will be asked to taste a number of snack food and evaluate their palatability.

Impulsive Behavior and Drinking in Young Adults
If you are between the ages of 18 and 25 you may be eligible to participate in this research study examining impulsivity and drinking behavior.
This research is looking at the connection of processing images for several kinds of beverages and impulsive behavior. It will involve a single study visit lasting approximately 1 hour.
Visit: If you agree to participate by completing an informed consent you will complete three (3) computerized behavioral tasks as well as several questionnaires.

Investigating the Neural Correlates of Relational Aggression
Do you sometimes wonder why your daughter acts the way she does with her friends?
We are interested in understanding peer interactions, and how the brain processes social information. We invite you and your daughter (age 9 - 11) to participate in a research study involving an MRI (brain scan) at the University of Vermont. Compensation for you ($50 cash) and your daughter ($50 gift certificate) will be provided for participation.

Complex Predictors of Sexual Behavior
Questions are about sexual behavior, sexual thoughts, sexual health, emotions, and personality. Your responses will be anonymous.

| Qualifications: | We are looking for men and women who are fluent in English and are between 18 and 25 years of age to participate in an on-line study. If you decide to participate and quality you'll answer a series of questions that will be kept anonymous. This study will take up to 1.5 hours. |

Coping with Rural Community HIV Stigma: Sexual Behavior and Psychological Well-Being
This is a longitudinal study. Participants will visit the Person Environment Zone Projects research site at the University of Vermont 3 times over a 6 month period (every 90 days). During their first visit, participants will complete a variety of questionnaires about their experiences with HIV/AIDS stigma, their perceptions of their community, their experience with relationships, how they cope with stress, about their sexual behavior, and about their psychological health. Participants will also call an automated IVR phone-in diary to report their experiences every day for 7 days after their first visit.

| Compensation: | Compensation for participating in our research is determined by the time of your visit (Time 1 = $40, Time 2 = $50, Time3 = $60), the distance you travel to our research site ($0.55 per mile plus $12.50 for every 50 miles, round trip), and your completion of the IVR phone-in diary ($10 for each day you complete a call, plus a bonus $15 if you complete all seven days in a row). Total compensation could be as much as $235 plus travel. |
