Areas

My primary research interest is the origins and outcomes of parent-child relations in early childhood.

Specific areas include:

identifying predictors of maternal and paternal sensitivity with an emphasis on parents' emotional responses to infant cues.
examining the intergenerational transmission of fathers' emotion relevant parenting practices with an emphasis on identifying factors that contribute to discontinuity.
factors associated with effective reintegration of military fathers: pre, during and post deployment stages.
