The Professional
Physical Education Program reflects a professional commitment to increasing
physical activity opportunities and promoting optimal programming for all
individuals. The program focuses on the application of principles and practices

for all participants. Graduates are provided with a strong academic foundation
and practical knowledge in the physiological, anatomical, social, and instructional
aspects related to human movement and physical activity.
The undergraduate program has two options:
Physical Education Teacher Licensure and Athletic Training. Both
options involve extensive field-based experiences beginning early in the
program.
The Department of Education also offers two
graduate options at the Masterís level: Curriculum and Instruction
and an Individually Designed degree in Exercise and Sport Science.
The Program also offers an excellent post-baccalaureate program for those
