Vice President for Finance and Treasurer
The Vice President for Finance’s authority stems from his appointment by and reporting line to the President, and to the Provost (Chief Budget Officer) regarding budget matters. The VPF is the Chief Financial Officer of the University and is responsible for ensuring the financial stability and integrity of the institution.
The VPF serves as University Treasurer, an appointment that is made by the Board of Trustees as per the University bylaws. As Treasurer, he is responsible for the preservation of the University’s assets and is responsible for the receipt and investment of funds and is responsible for the management of cash and securities. He also ensures that the President, Provost and Board of Trustees receive the financial statements of the University, including comparisons of budget to actual revenues and expenses.
