2. At least Fifteen hours at the advanced (100 or 200) level subject to the following
  restrictions:
  a. Three hours must be at the 200 level.
 
  b. Students must complete at least one advanced (100- or 200-level) course in three of the four subfields (American Politics;
Political Theory; International Relations; Comparative Politics).
 
  c. Twelve of the fifteen hours, including the three hours at the 200 level, must be in UVM political science courses (i.e. excluding study abroad, transfer credit, and readings and research).
 
3. Three additional hours in political science at any level (can include transfer credit).
4. At least fifteen of the thirty hours used to satisfy this major must be taken at the University of Vermont.

Minor
 
Minor requirements: Eighteen hours in political science, including at least six hours from the "core" courses (21, 41, 51, 71), and at least nine hours at the level of 100 or above. Of the nine hours at the 100 level students must complete at least six hours in UVM political Science courses (i.e. excluding study abroad, transfer credit, and readings and research). Internships will not count toward the eighteen hours required for the minor. At least nine of the eighteen hours used to satisfy this minor must be taken at the University of Vermont.
