Standard A Non-Profit
Most common. Used when doing bulk mailings in excess of 200 identical pieces at once. Content must be substantially related to the mission of the university and NOT in cooperation with other organizations. See the Mail Center with content questions.
Non-Profit Org. Permit No. 143
Standard A Regular
The regular or commercial rate of standard mail. UVM's use would include all extension programs and cooperative mailings with goverment agencies or for profit groups. See the Mail Center on exceptions to the cooperative mail piece rules.
PRSRT STD Permit No. 143
First Class Single Piece
Use for identical pieces or First Class Mail when sent in quantities of more than 200 and less than 500 pieces at one time.
First-Class Mail Permit No. 143
Pre-sorted First Class
When sending identical First Class pieces in quantities of more than 500 pieces at one time the Presorted First-Class rate offers a discounted rate of postage. See the Mail Center for specifics on the use of First Class Presorted Mail.
