Courtesy Reply Mail (CRM)
Courtesy reply mail uses specially formatted pre-addressed cards or envelopes so recipients can easily respond to a request. The mailer (UVM) supplies the reply piece as an enclosure in a mailing. CRM differs from BRM because the respondent applies the postage before mailing it back. The mailer receives the piece back faster because of the special automation compatible format and the respondent gets the convenience of a pre-addressed return envelope.
The CRM format must be compatible with USPS design standards. Please use a designer with experience in CRM layout. OCR-readable type fonts in the USPS approved size, style and position must be used. A brief guidesheet of this format is available here. Contact Print & Mail Center with your design needs.
