The course offers a survey of masterpieces of Western culture from the Renaissance to the present as they deal with issues of:
the human condition
the puzzle of fate/freedom
notions of the good society
questions of human destiny

The course is taught under the auspices of the Integrated Humanities Program and proceeds in parallel track with corresponding courses in English and Religion
