Philosophically, I am interested in ethics, metaphysics, philosophy  of mind, and early modern philosophy.  My recent ethical thinking has  focused on numbers skepticism (not what it sounds like) and moral  realism.  Recent metaphysical thinking has focused on the nature of  the imagination and its uses in philosophy.  Recent thinking in  philosophy of mind has focused on imaginability arguments there and  also on parallels between questions in the philosophy of mind and  metaethics.  I haven't thought much about early modern philosophy  recently, but I am interested in early modern views on the mind-body  problem plus rationalist metaphysics.

I teach or will teach courses in all the areas I am interested in.  I  am currently teaching the intro ethics course in the honors college  and an intermediate-level class on the morality of killing things.

Non-philosophically, I am interested above all in baseball.
