The University of Vermont has a national reputation in training future educators and human services professionals.

The University of Vermont has extensive experience in conducting research on a variety of topics related to special education, evaluation, transition, education reform, family centered approaches to disability, state level educational implementation, and self-advocacy.

 

PACER Center is a national parent center for families of children and young adults with all types of disabilities -- physical, cognitive, learning, emotional, and other health impairments. PACER is based on the philosophy of parents helping parents.

PACER is staffed primarily by parents of children with disabilities and works in coalitions with other disability organizations. PACER operates or partners on over 30 state or national programs.
