What does throat singing sound like? "Imagine a human bagpipe-a person who could sing a sustained low note while humming an eerie, whistle-like melody. For good measures, toss in a thrumming rythm similar to that of a jaw harp, but produced vocally-by the same person, at the same time."-Newsweek

Come see Alash, masters of Tuvan throat singing, for free at City Hall in Burlington on Sunday, October 16. The group will be performing at 7:00pm and is a free event.
