OIRA is the central resource at UVM for student, faculty, staff, and curricular data, analysis, and assessment. We use data to support the management, planning, and policy activities at the institutional level and we serve campus partners all across UVM, including faculty, staff, and students. Our work includes internal reporting, external reporting, business intelligence, assessment, consulting/training, data governance, and other special initiatives.

Our Values

OUR VALUES

Trust. We strive to be a trusted partner who delivers accurate, reliably sourced, and ethically managed data by ensuring the respect of the rights and privacy of the individuals whose data we collect, analyze, and disseminate.

Justice. In the spirit of UVM’s Common Ground values, we work towards advancing a culture of justice through the use of data that accurately and holistically reflects the experiences of the UVM community. We respond by challenging injustice toward any member of our community and work towards efforts that contribute to a just community where all feel welcomed, valued, and supported.

Collaboration. We seek to build collaboration by humanizing the individuals who create, generate, and report on the experiences reflected in the data through centering education, best practices, community and coalition building.

Impact. We work with partners by providing insights and empowering actionable data informed decision making that impacts the betterment of the University and advancing its strategic initiatives.
