UVM Community Member Involvement

UVM's international students currently represent 54 countries. The Office of International Education welcomes involvement in a number of ways.

Be a Faculty/Staff Mentor

Be an Emergency Language Translator

Negotiating a personal crisis or emergency can be difficult for any student. Add to that stress unfamiliarity with U.S. culture and communicating in a second language, and a difficult situation may become overwhelming. On behalf of a student whose native language is not English, the Dean of Students Office, Campus Victim's Advocate or Police Services might call for help with translation. Interested?
