Animal Transfers

Animal Transfers are moving non-USDA animals from one protocol to another protocol, one room to another, or any combination thereof. The Office of Animal Care Management (OACM) no longer tracks changes in USDA levels for non-USDA animals as the lab is tracking the animal use levels.

USDA animals are transfered the same as non-USDA with the inclusion of moving animals from one USDA level to another.

• Fill out the Animal Transfer Form
• Email to oacm@uvm.edu
• The Priority One staff will move the animals within 48 hours of receipt
