NGP Journal Club

2013-2014 NGP Journal Club Schedule >>

Please Note:

During fall semester, first year students are in another class on some dates, and excused. If a student will be absent he/she must contact the student coordinator and Dr. Nishi to be excused.

Students who have proposed their dissertation research more than a year ago will present a dissertation research update instead of presenting a journal article.

Guidelines for effective journal club presentations can be found here.

Last Year's Topic was "Neuronal Plasticity".

Fall Student coordinators: Michelle McNamara and Eugene Cilento. Spring Student coordinators: Matthew LeComte and David Harris. The articles below are linked to .pdf files via PubMed. (Download Adobe® Reader.)

NGP Student Journal Club

NSCI 381/382 is a graduate student-run journal club with research presentations and critical review of the literature in the neurosciences. Participation is open to all graduate students, but required of Neuroscience Graduate Program and Anatomy and Neurobiology Graduate students each semester. Participants can review course guidelines here.

2013-2014: "Pharmacological influence of drugs on the nervous system and behavior" (topic guidelines)

Journal club is held in HSRF 400 as noted below. Fall semester on Fridays from 12:00-1:00 pm; Spring semester on Wednesdays from 12:00-1:00-pm.
