The National Alliance on Mental Illness

This is where it all started. NAMI national is the main political and social body of NAMI, contributing and assisting the state and local branches. If you have a question on mental illness and can't find the answer online, you'll find it here! I would strongly suggest that you make a donation and/or join NAMI national on this site as well, because people like you are what keeps NAMI alive and fighting for the rights of the mentally ill!

Vermont

NAMI Vermont

This is your local branch of NAMI, headquartered in Waterbury, VT. From here, you can access local services, find out more information about NAMI in your area or nationally, volunteer and buy/renew your NAMI membership, which enrolls you in a quarterly subscription of the magazine, The Advocate, allows you to loan books, tapes, and videos, gives you access to family support groups across the state, and gives you access to NAMI sponsored meetings, seminars and talks. Visit the website for contact information and a more comprehensive list of what they do!

Grading the States

A new link inspired by the "NAMI Advocate" article on health care policy and the national crisis. See how your state matches up to others and the national average and get a report card for your state! Includes information on current policies and what needs work.
