Description: A CD release concert for the Patricia Julien Project's new recording, "Still Light At Night." This jazz quartet (flute, guitar, bass, and drums) of Burlington area musicians is led by UVM Associate Professor Patricia Julien. The group plays mostly original compositions ranging from straight-ahead and free jazz to funk.

Internationally renowned tuba soloist, Scott Mendoker, will present a solo recital featuring works by Arcangelo Corelli, John Stevens, Sergei Prokofiev, David Sampson, and Peter Meechan. The latter two works are written for the tuba and pre-recorded electronics, and the other works will be performed with UVM faculty Sylvia Parker on the piano.
Mr. Mendoker will also present a masterclass at 4:00 PM.

Read, Symphonic Episodes, and Rhapsody in Blue by George Gershwin with the UVM piano faculty Sylvia Parker. The orchestra will also perform Fanfare from La Peri by Paul Dukas, Overture to Marriage of Figaro by Mozart, Danse Bacchanale by Camille Saint-Saëns, and Pavane for a Dead Princess by Maurice Ravel.
