Paul Asbell, jazz guitar, has been called "one of the best-kept secrets in American music today." From roots to steel string Americana, his music is a true crowd pleaser and he currently performs regularly around Burlington. See upcoming performances on his website.

Rachael Elliot, bassoon, performs as part of the indie-rock band, Clogs. Read a New York Times review of their recent appearance at the Brooklyn Academy of Music "Shuffle Mode" concert.

Steve Ferraris, conga/djembe, performed on Mike Gordon's recent project, The Green Sparrow. The Green Sparrow combines funk, bluegrass, calypso, and jazz styles.

David Neiweem, professor of voice, has given the university's four-stop portative pipe organ a great deal of mileage with his tour of Vermont churches. Hear his VPR performance.

Associate Prof. Patricia Riley traveled to China in May to continue working as the music education specialist with an NGO, China Schools Foundation, developing a curriculum to implement in rural Chinese schools.
