  • B.M. in Music from Hartt School of Music where she studeied wtih John Wion, graduated with honors, and won both a concerto competition and a competition in which she performed wih the Emerson String Quartet.
  • M.M. in Music from the Manhattan School of Music where she studied with Thomas Nyfenger
  • Other principal teachers include Timothy Hutchins of the Montreal Symphony Orchestra, Jeanne Baxtressor, Samuel Baron, and Julius Baker.

Flutist Anne Janson has played second flute with the Vermont Symphony Orchestra since 1983 and the Vermont Mozart Festival Orchestra since 1985. Janson has played solo roles with both groups, and is active in the New England Region as a freelance artist. Anne teaches flute at the University of Vermont, Middlebury College, and in her private studio.
