Level II Piano Audition Requirements

1. Two prepared pieces of contrasting style. Ideally, selections will be chosen from the following two categories:
   • Bach Inventions, Suite movements, Preludes and Fugues; or first movement from any classical sonata, and
   • A piece from 19th or 20th century literature such as a Chopin Nocturne or Mazurka, a Schumann character piece, or a short work by Bartok or Kabalevsky.
