Born in rural Southwestern Pennsylvania, I began my professional career in community banking. I worked for a long time in the Trust Department, where I reinforced my long-held belief that the only thing I really want to do with my life is to help people. This is a pretty vague ambition, and I've been reminded of that consistently as I've sought to develop my career since moving to Vermont in January 2012. I am an active Rotarian, and the morals I have developed therein have strongly shaped my entire decision-making paradigm. I have come to the MPA Program at UVM with the intention of refining my skills and developing a stronger sense of what I can do with them.
