As a child on Cape Cod, Jessica was always outside, playing in the woods, in the swamp and in the ocean. This love of nature has never subsided, and has grown into a lifestyle that she loves here in Vermont. After spending years as a trail crew leader and worker in State and National Parks throughout the country, Jessica has found her niche as a Trail Coordinator for the Vermont Department of Forests, Parks and Recreation, as well as her role as the Vice Chair for the Vermont Trails and Greenways Council. Her desire to create sustainable recreation infrastructure and experiences, as well as learn to be an effective voice for long-range recreation and natural resource planning has led her to this program. Her work-based interests range from community-based project management to group dynamics to positive leadership development. She loves to backpack, write and play music, cook, and develop her small trail and stone work business.
