Richard Greggory Johnson III, D.P.A, currently serves as Assistant Professor in the Education Leadership and Policy Studies Program of the College of Education at the University of Vermont.  He also serves as Director of TRIO Programs also at the University of Vermont.  He has served in this capacity this 1999. Prior to coming to UVM Dr. Johnson served as Director, Upward Bound-Montana State University and Adjunct Professor in the Curriculum and Instruction program of the College of Education.

Dr. Johnson holds a D.P.A from Golden Gate University (CA) in Public Administration and Policy, MS from DePaul University in Public Administration, MA from Georgetown University in Social and Public Policy and BA from Johnson C. Smith University in Urban Studies.

Dr. Johnson’s most recently published article is entitled Has Public Administration Grown-up?  A Case for Class-Related Research and Education, published in the International Journal of Public Administration (Spring 2004).   He is currently co-editing a book on working-class professors in higher education.
