In 2002, she earned a BS in History from Towson University in Towson, Maryland. During her junior year of undergrad, Brandy studied abroad, and spent one semester at Brunel University of West London. After graduation, Brandy spent a year traveling throughout the US, and applying for the Peace Corps. She served as a United States Peace Corps in Samoa from June 2003 to July 2005. Upon return from overseas, Brandy moved to Southwest Wisconsin, where she began farming. She worked in the headquarters of a farmer owned co-op, called Organic Valley, as the Farmer Ambassador Program Assistant, where she worked with farmers to educate the public about sustainable farming practices. Eager to continue her education and passion for overseas work, Brandy moved to Burlington, VT to work at ARD, Inc., where she now serves as a Proposal Specialist, and ARD's Gender Focal Point.
