Frank Smallwood Award
Frank Smallwood, UVM-MPA Visiting Professor and Dartmouth College Professor Emeritus is a person of academic stature in the area of public policy, an active participant in the governance of Vermont as a legislator, and an ongoing mentor for the UVM-MPA program, faculty and students. Well known for his caring demeanor, concern for those around him, positive outlook, and insightfulness, Professor Smallwood truly epitomizes this award.
The Frank Smallwood Student Award is
presented annually by the members of the graduating class to one of
their class mates who is the most collegial, helpful, and supportive
person in the class...a person whose commitment to colleagues and
positive energy makes the complex and challenging aspects of a graduate
program a cooperative and uplifting experience.
