purple people

a series of pictures to demonstrate the futility of asking a 3 year old to smile

well, somebody's smiling!

surveying the territory - we're having te backyard regraded to help with drainage, since we have water against (thankfully not in) the house, and a boggy soggy yard year round

after a wet spring, this is what was lurking under the cantilevered area of the house!! Latte anyone?

pulling out our deck footings like toothpicks (note the lack of concrete anchors - no wonder the deck was shifting all over the place!)

Sure, make it look easy! (I couldn't even WIGGLE a rock like that)

Elliott "helps"

and becomes stuck in the muck (you try pulling out a 35 lb kid while holding a 25 lb kid and not falling into the mud yourself!)

Lorelei loves the umbrella

modelling an almost too small Motherease Onesize fitted diaper (hey, it SAYS one-size fits all!)

Elliott "reading"

Lorelei cooking up some breakfast

Hey, finally a kid who likes shape sorters!

she wanted so badly to go outside, but it was absolutely muddy

Elliott carried on long conversations with his waffle (which was cut so it looked like an alligator) and refused to eat it all day. Tragedy struck when the hinge broke.

Hi Amelia!

enjoying the Maple Street playground

We are allowed to feed the animals in this zoo

Elliott helps make and eat some gooooood guacamole

taking a walk in Dada's shoes

this hermit crab really needs to find a bigger house!

abotu 10 seconds from now, she finally realized she was hypothermic and burst into tears

obsessed with the buckle

playing a lego game
