playing outside Ray's condo in Killington, before heading back home

What is it about going up the slide?

Hmm, there is this nice play structure here, and within minutes, Elliott is bored and exploring the steep bank

I'm outta here too! (walking straight for a steep cliff with jagged rocks at the bottom)

we spotted a rare Mike bird sunning himself on the playset!

another adrenaline junkie in the making (she holds on really well, promise!)

armed and dangerous.. Elliott can't resist stone filled steps

a snake from our garden sticks its head into our house flashing to get away from the paparazzi

it finally managed to get its entire body up there!

mud pie anyone?

the almost finished play structure - just need to add the swing/monkey bar combo

Nana, Rachel and Eben come to help and test things out.. rock wall works..

slide works (fast too!)

Nana reaches the top of the Jacob's ladder to nowhere

OK kid, we have this cool structure here, but you'd rather balance on a random chunk of wood. Great.

Ahhh, Grandma!

Lorelei can climb into the tire swing herself, kind of, usually

Lorelei is obsessed with shoes, just like Elliott at this age..

wearing Elliott's crocs, trying to climb on the ladder

Kira and Lorelei - the girls came to test things out, and had great fun climbing the stairs and going down the slide, over and over and over again! (we really need 3 adults for the 3 kids.. one at the bottom of the ladder, one at the top to keep them from walking off the rock wall, and one at the bottom of the slide, esp. for Lorelei)

Who hoo!

The birds adjusted to our new windows just fine. Sigh.

and what's on your mind, my innocent child?

Elliott tries out Grandpa's new pool

cold won't stop these goofballs!

Lorelei soaks herself splashing before deciding to get in

warming up in Grandma's digging area

she scooped dirt into a bucket and dragged it all over the yard

of course, every bucket must be stepped into

Dirt! ooh!

wet kids watching a dog on the sidewalk

home sweet home

The day of days! Patrick came with the tractor! Life is fine!

sensation lilac flowering for the first time

Elliott is SO excited to see a real tractor at our house!

Patrick tries to answer Elliott's questions, which never pause, even for answers

We're thankful that he took the key. :-)

new yellow iris

the red rhododendron almost ready to blossom

today's catch

It was sweltery, so we went down to Mills River for some good wading in the cold river - the kids held up very well.. Elliott had fantastic balance compared to last year, and Lorelei wanted to be in the water for about an hour, until finally her lips were blue and she submitted to being dragged out of the river.

Not impressed with our snack selections, but looking pretty cute in her bathing suit

and here's a possible reason for her ubergrumpiness! that's one ugly toothling!

grumpasauruses.. we were just heading to ECHO here

an archaeologist escapes! blurry but she was SO cute in goggles!

Don't they look so serious? Like they could be in high school chemistry lab?

a most disgusting rock wall

burp machine.. eww!

Elliott takes the Grossology exhibit to heart, eating dinner in a most uncivilized manner

Lorelei follows suit, but can't keep up

Seriously, the kid is allergic to forks. Now you see why we never give him red sauce on his noodles!

OK OK, so he's not the only one who wore his supper

Lorelei is completely sacked out

Ahh, I just can't help it. Cuteness. Snoozing in her comfy soaker from Heidi..

trying to get some overflow tomatoes in from the Wellmans before it rains

Lorelei loves popping the heads off flowers, but gets confused when they won't go back on

pat pat pat down the soil

she practiced going in and out of the garden

Hmm, if we plant him, will more Elliotts grow?

ahh, he escapes! Too much energy for root growing!

Lorelei's foot after a fun day

one clean boy

one clean girl

Lorelei trying on her adorable new dress, hand-knit for her from Heidi (for her birthday). this has to be the softest knitted thing I've ever felt

Elliott hoarding all the yellow blocks

that's ONE way to sit on the sofa!

Elliott signing "zebra" to Lorelei - we've been watching Signing Time, and Elliott is really enjoying it

Yeah, he's mine.

both kids regularly try to steal the vacuum from me

Lorelei finally had her 12 month checkup, a month late - she's 32" and 24 lb 5 oz (95% in height and 88% in weight, looking good)
