Caged Boy (hanging around in Basil's new run)

Lorelei drawing - she really wants to draw! and she can! (scanned artwork coming soon)

drawing some more.. she only draws with her left hand, though she often eats with her right.

Lorelei hitching a ride with Grandpa George

Shadow thinks she's a rabbit

a rainbow of sweet bell peppers for Elliott's preschool snack (they're studying colors and light)

looking more and more grown-up!

Lorelei's fat little piggies

reading a story - we've been on a real book kick lately

future engineer?

MMm, maybe not.

Elliott, Fixer Man.

hat on

hat off

Elliott feeds the fish

they laid more eggs, this time spread across two leaves (and later are them all, as usual)

ahh, early morning cuteness (she loves playing with her toes.. it's all good until she lifts her leg so high that she tips over backward - oww!)

Yes, this is why catching a good smile is tricky! (flap flap flap)

Ahhh, two grumpy kids chilling on the swing

Ahh, so sweet, but still grumpy..

that's better!

cheerful babe

UGH, so close! Lorelei struggles, but she hasn't mastered crawling or creeping. She just spins in circles and cries, or scoots backwards (but doesn't enjoy it or realize she's getting anywhere).

buddha baby in her new handmade wool soaker - being Heidi's guinea pig is a very lucky thing!

desperate to walk, she grabs anyone's hand and just takes off! (see the fish and bubbles on the back? So cute!)

coming back...

and forth..

Jasmine visits, and they take turns riding on the elephant

Elliott's outline

up, up..

and away! If this daredevil lives to 10, I'll be .. only slightly relieved. Of course, I was the same way.

I tried so hard to get a good smile...

but had to settle for cute smirks

yay! Lorelei claps now

just being cute

Elliott ready to go to the park

we explored the Underhill elementary school playground.. this is a real "dug out" on the field

a playground with a view!

slinging.. it's a ridiculously warm day for February, in the 50s!

climbing up a big boulder

boys at the summit

Lorelei checking out the camera strap

Ahh, babies in hats! Who can resist?

Elliott on the boulder

we walked through the woods, and found that squirrels (we presume) nipped the new growth off of the evergreens! All the green stuff on the ground is bits of evergreen from the canopy. Poor trees!

Lorelei inspects the damage

Elliott in a hidden hay field that we found (again, hay with a seriously gorgeous view!)

Lorelei takes a ride with Dad

Elliott in the dome

Lorelei has eyes only for her boy

Yay Babe!

We had a great time
